July Newsletter

VBS Report

Our VBS went great this year! We had over 50 volunteers who served in various capacities. Thank you to all who served! You all knocked it out of the park this year!! We also had an average of 72 kids each night! There was a lot of laughter, smiles, songs lifted to Jesus, high fives, awesome games played, super crafts made, and Bible truths poured into little hearts and minds.

Kids and Student Camp Reports

Thank you for your prayers for our Kids and Students who went to camp! Six kids went to Kids Camp, and 31 students went to Youth Camp. God did a great work in the hearts and minds of our kids and students this year. We are also very thankful for the 1 child and 3 students who professed their faith in Jesus as Savior and King!

Church Report

We are thankful for the growth God is giving us. Over the past two months we have averaged between 170-200 people in our worship service along with an average of 11 children in our preschool ministry each week. Let’s thank God for this growth and continue to pray that God will send us the laborers for the Harvest (Luke 10:2)! Additionally, we have 9 people who are going to be baptized in the upcoming weeks and make their commitment to follow Christ public. Praise the Lord!

Administrative Assistant

Thank you for your prayers as we searched for a new Administrative Assistant for our church. We are grateful that God has led us to hire Stephanie Garretson! We are truly grateful for Jane Perkins who has served our church for 10 years!

Operation Christmas Child

Each month we are collecting different items for our OCC missions project. During the month of July, we are collecting School and Art Supplies: Writing Utensils (pens, #2 pencils, colored pencils, crayons, markers, single pencil sharpeners). These items can be dropped in the collection bin located in the lobby.

Wednesday Night Kick Off Cook-Out – Aug. 18

Mark your calendar for our Wednesday night Kick Off to our Fall ministries on August 18 at 6:00 pm. We’ll be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, and we will have games set up for the kids and students. Our tentative plan is to begin our Wednesday night ministries the following week on August 25.

Prayer Needs for the Fall

  • Master Plan Team – Pray for our staff as we put together our Master Plan Team. The team will begin to pray and think over the development of our land and future placements of buildings that will coincide with the spiritual growth needs of our church.
  • Wednesday Night Redemption Kids Workers and Director – If you are interested investing in kids that are in 5 y/o-6th grade for our Redemption Kids Ministries this Fall, please contact Pastor Byron or our Family and Member Care Pastor, John Nogueras. We need both teachers and teacher assistants, and we are also praying for someone who has a heart to lead our Redemption Kids Wednesday Night Ministries.
  • Sunday Morning Redemption Kids Small Group - We are seeking assistants for both 2nd-3rd grade and 4th-6th grade classes. The assistant will help the Lead teacher and be trained to teach at least once a month. If you are interested in this ministry, please contact our Family and Member Care Pastor John Nogueras.
