October Newsletter

Membership Highlight

This past weekend (Oct. 15-17), we had 14 new Adults and Students attend our Membership Class! We are grateful that God continues to grow His church here at Redemption. Each of them will meet with one of our pastors so they can talk about their individual redemption story as a part of our membership process. We look forward to introducing our new members to the church family once these pastoral interviews are completed!

Our next membership Class will be January 21-23

We will start our sign-ups as we get close to these dates.

Property Updates

Over the past several months, we have had some additional fencing installed behind the church as we prepare the space behind the church for usable green space. One enclosure is to protect our large water tower for our sprinkler system and provide some storage space for lawn equipment. The second enclosure is to provide a permanent location for our Pre-school play area. We plan to purchase some play equipment for our children in the future to give them a nice area to go on days that are beautiful.

Here are some pictures of the two.

Operation Christmas Child - October/November

This is our last month to take a collection of items for our OCC. During the month of October, we are collecting Hygiene items (packaged soap, deodorant, bandaids, chapstick), and shoeboxes. These items can be dropped in the collection bin located in the lobby

Our Shoebox packing party will be Wed., Nov. 17 @ 6:00 pm.

October – Month of Missions

October is our month of Missions. We have been blessed to skype with some of our missionaries during our Sunday’s Worship services and hear reports about what God is doing. Please prayerfully consider what you and your family can give toward the cause of missions above your regular offerings. You can designate your offering either on your offering envelope if you give in person. Or, you can select “mission” if you give online.

November camping event/ church-wide fellowship etc.

Our annual camping weekend is Nov. 5-7 at Fontainebleau State Park. If you plan to camp, please make your own reservation. We will have a church-wide cookout on Saturday, Nov. 6. Even if you’re not camping, please join us at the park that day. Lunch will begin around 12.

We will still have our Small Groups and Worship that Sunday at the church.

If you need more information, please feel free to call the church office.
